M. V. Sieves

Our office and workshop are over at Arunoday Complex, right on the second floor. If you know the Little Hut Chowkdi area in the G.I.D.C. Industrial Estate, we are pretty easy to find. It’s a busy spot with lots of activity from morning till night. At M. V. Sieves, we spend most of our time dealing with mesh and wire for different types of sieving work. The stairs in the complex are a bit steep, especially when we are hauling heavy rolls of material up and down. We probably should have picked a ground floor unit, but the light is better up here on the second floor. Little Hut Chowkdi is always a mess of rickshaws and motorbikes, which makes getting here a bit of a challenge some days. Our desks are usually covered in samples and old catalogs. It's a bit of a mess, but we know exactly where everything is located. The space is tight with all the material, but we make it work. We use some manual tools and some power ones, whatever gets the job done. We usually have tea together in the afternoon near the window. The view isn't much, just more industrial buildings and the road, but it feels like home to us after all these years. We just keep our heads down and try to get the orders out on time for the people waiting.
