Reunion Rubber Works

Working with rubber is a messy job, but someone has to do it. Here at Reunion Rubber Works, we spend our days at Plot No. A-2-5702 dealing with various rubber compounds. The smell is something you get used to after the first week of working here. We have a few machines that have been with us for years, and they still run okay if you treat them right. Most of the time, we are just busy cutting or molding parts for other businesses nearby. It's mostly industrial stuff that people don't think about much in their daily lives. We don't have a big reception area or a fancy sign out front. It’s just the workshop and a small office space where we keep the invoices and the old logbooks. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, which is a bit of a headache for production, but we just wait it out. Our team is small, mostly guys from around here who know their way around a press. We try to stay on top of the schedule so things don't get backed up too much. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy sheets and making sure the heat is set correctly. We’ve been in this spot for quite some time now. If the gates are open, we’re probably inside working. We don't really bother with any of that digital stuff, we just focus on the rubber.
