Varalakshmi Enterprises

Our business, Varalakshmi Enterprises, is at 78-1-39 in Georgepet. It’s an older part of the area, and the building reflects that with its thick walls and small windows. Inside, it stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down on Georgepet. We’ve got shelves lined with various items we’ve collected over the years. Some of it has been sitting there for a while, but you never know when someone might need an odd part or a specific tool. The desk at the front is made of heavy wood and has been around longer than I have. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people find us because they’ve been coming here for a generation or their father told them about us. We keep our records in a spiral notebook mostly. It’s not the most modern way to run things, but it works for us. The lights inside are a bit dim, and sometimes we have to use a flashlight to find stuff in the back corners. We don’t have a big team of workers, just a couple of us who know the inventory. We spend our time checking the stock and helping out whoever walks through the door. It’s a quiet life in Georgepet, and we’re just another part of the neighborhood, doing our thing day after day without making much noise about it.
