Kesar Plastics

Our place is at 21/116 on Thilak Road in the Oldtown area. Thilak Road is one of those streets that always feels a bit crowded, no matter what time it is. Kesar Plastics is tucked into an older building that has seen better days. The walls are thick and the rooms are small. We have plastic goods stuffed into every corner we can find. Sometimes it feels like a maze in here. We spend a lot of time counting items and making sure everything is where it should be. The floor is made of old tiles that are a bit cracked in places. We have a small desk near the front where we keep our records. It’s a bit dark inside because the windows are small, so we keep the overhead lights on all day. Outside, you can hear the buses and the horns constantly. We've been here long enough that we don't really notice the noise anymore. A lot of people from the neighborhood stop by to pick up things for their kitchens or shops. We try to keep the most popular items near the front so we don't have to go digging through the back rooms. It’s a lot of manual labor, carrying bags and boxes back and forth. By the end of the day, we are usually pretty tired. We just close the doors and come back the next morning. It’s just how things are on Thilak Road.
