Our place is out in the G.I.D.C. Estate in V.U. Nagar, specifically at Plot No. I-119. Being right near the Super Glass building in Phase 4 makes us easy to find. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always a lot of trucks and noise from the other factories nearby. Building machines for making papads is what happens here. The workshop stays full of steel parts and half-finished frames. It’s a practical space. Having a fancy lobby isn't necessary for us. You walk in and you’re basically in the middle of where the work happens. There’s usually dust on the floor and the sound of drills going. We’ve been in this spot for several years now. People usually find us when they want to start a small business making snacks. Showing them how the rollers work and how to adjust the thickness is part of the job. It’s straightforward stuff. The weather gets pretty hot in V.U. Nagar, so the big fans in the ceiling are always spinning. Keeping some tea and water for whoever drops by is a habit. Most of our days are spent checking bolts and making sure the motors are mounted right. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know best. We close up around six or seven depending on how much we have left to do for the day.
