Out here in V.U. Nagar, Anand, at GIDC plot 2214, the pace of life is a bit different than the big cities. We focus on gum and corrugation machines, which is a very specific type of work that not everyone understands. Our workshop is where the magic happens, though it looks more like a cluttered garage than a high-tech lab. We’ve got parts and components scattered across benches, and there’s usually a pot of glue or gum being tested somewhere. The heat in Gujarat can be really something else, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning before the sun gets too high. We aren't a massive corporation with thousands of employees. It’s just a dedicated group of us who know how to mix the right chemicals and build machines that don't quit. We spend a lot of time talking to local vendors and making sure our supplies are coming in from the right places. Sometimes the rain makes the dirt roads around the GIDC area a bit of a mess, but we still show up and get to work. We don’t have a fancy website or a glossy brochure. If someone needs a machine or a mix, they usually just call us directly or drop by the shed. We usually have some snacks around to share, and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed as long as the work is getting done. It’s a simple life focused on making things that last.
