Akshar Refrigeration

We are Akshar Refrigeration, over on Sarsa Road, right near Bhalej Chokdi in the Umreth area of Dist. Anand. It’s a good location because people passing through can find us easily. We work on refrigerators and cooling systems. In this part of the country, that’s important work because of how hot it gets. Our shop is usually full of old fridge shells and compressors waiting to be fixed. There are wires and copper tubing everywhere. It looks like a mess to some, but it’s just how we work. My clothes usually have a bit of oil or dirt on them by the end of the day. We don't have a fancy showroom with new models. We mostly focus on fixing what people already have. Sometimes we have to travel to nearby villages to look at a cooling unit that’s stopped working. The drive can be long on the bumpy roads, but it’s part of the job. We have a small fan that runs constantly in the shop, but it mostly just moves the warm air around. We know most of our customers by name since they’ve been coming to us for years. We don't use any fancy advertising. Word just gets around that we are here and we know how to handle the tools. It’s a quiet life, mostly spent tightening bolts and checking for leaks. It keeps us going every day.
