FLORA GHARGHANTI

Flora Gharghanti is right on the Anand Sojitra Road, just beside the Mahi Canal in the Anand district. Being near the canal is nice, though the humidity can get high in the monsoon. We have got our workshop set up here where we put together the domestic flour mills. It is a small operation. We spend our days fitting motors and checking the stones. The road outside is usually quite busy with people traveling between the towns. We get a lot of dust coming in from the traffic, so we are always sweeping the floor. It is not a corporate environment at all. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work. Most of us live nearby, so we know the area well. The sound of the canal water is something we have grown used to over the years. We have a lot of parts stored on shelves reaching up to the ceiling. It is a bit cramped inside when we have a lot of finished units ready to go out. We do not have a big marketing budget or anything; we just rely on people seeing our sign as they drive past on the Sojitra road. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit during our break to watch the cars go by. It is a simple life and a simple business. We just try to make sure every machine is put together right before it leaves the shop.
