Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federat

Working at Post Box No. 10 on Amul Dairy Road feels like being part of something that’s been around forever. This is the heart of the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation. You can smell the dairy in the air sometimes, and there are always milk tankers moving in and out of the area. It’s a very busy spot. We deal with a lot of different cooperatives and farmers from all over the region. Our office isn’t anything special to look at, just old desks and plenty of files. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at delivery schedules. It’s a lot of coordination to make sure the milk gets where it needs to go. We have people who have worked here for thirty years sitting right next to young kids just starting out. We usually share some snacks in the afternoon when things slow down for a minute. The road outside is always crowded with people and vehicles. We don't have a lot of fancy technology, but we know how to get the job done. It’s about being reliable for the farmers who depend on us. Every day we see the trucks lined up, and it reminds us of the scale of what happens here. It’s steady work, and we appreciate being in such a historic part of town. There is always a lot to do before the sun goes down.
