Shiv Hair Dresser & Beauty Saloon

Being right on Goal Bagh Road means we see a lot of people passing by our windows every single day. The taxi stand is just across from us, so we often get drivers coming in for a quick shave or a haircut before they head out on a long trip. Our shop, Shiv Hair Dresser & Beauty Saloon, has been a part of this Amritsar neighborhood for a long time. It is not a huge place, but it has everything we need to work. We have the usual chairs, the big mirrors, and the shelves filled with various creams and powders. In the mornings, we spend time cleaning the combs and making sure the towels are dry and ready. The sound of the traffic outside is constant, but inside it is mostly just the sound of the fans and the clinking of our scissors. We do not do anything flashy or modern. Most people come in because they know us or because they were just walking past Goal Bagh and needed a trim. The floor gets messy with hair pretty quickly, so someone is always grabbing the broom to sweep it up. We keep the water running and the lights on from early morning until late evening. It is just a regular day-to-day business for us here. We do not have a big corporate team, just a few of us working the chairs and talking to customers. It is a simple way to make a living.
