Suri Hair Salon

Our salon is right by the Amritsar bus stand. We are in the Combine Building where the Axis Hotel is located. It is a very hectic area because of all the travelers and buses coming in from different cities. You can hear the conductors shouting and the horns honking all day long. Being at Shirpura Chownk means we see a lot of different faces every day. Many of our customers are people who have just arrived in Amritsar or are about to leave on a long bus journey. They want a quick haircut or a shave to look fresh for their trip. The salon is simple and functional. We have a few chairs and the usual tools of the trade. Because we are in a hotel building, we sometimes get guests from the hotel too. It is not a fancy place with expensive products, just a reliable shop for a decent cut. We have seen many travelers come and go over the years. The walls are lined with mirrors that have seen many stories. We keep a stack of old magazines for people to read while they wait. The floor gets a lot of use, so we are always sweeping up the hair. It is a busy, noisy, and honest place to work. We do not try to be anything other than a local hair salon serving the people who pass through this busy part of the city.
