Shanty Hair Saloon

Amritsar is a busy place, and our little spot at Shop No 135 on Ram Tirth Road is right in the middle of the Putligarh rush. Being near Valmiki Chowk means there is always noise and people moving about. We’ve been at this location for a while now, just doing what we know how to do. The shop is small, but we make it work. We have the usual stuff—mirrors, chairs, and the sound of the radio playing softly in the background. Most of our customers are from the nearby houses, people who have been coming to us for years. They know where we are, right on the road, easy to spot if you’re looking for Shanty Hair Saloon. We don’t do anything complicated here. It is mostly just haircuts and shaves. On weekends, it gets a bit crowded and people have to wait on the bench outside or lean against the wall. We try to keep things moving, but we don’t like to rush either. The tea from the shop next door is pretty good, so sometimes we share a cup with a customer while waiting for the next person to walk in. It’s just a normal day for us, starting in the morning and closing up when the sun goes down and the street lights at Valmiki Chowk come on. It’s a good neighborhood to be in, and we like the people who live around here.
