Roop Rekha Beauty Saloon

Our saloon is located at House Number 4540 on Street Number 5 in Putligarh. We are right in the Ranjit Pura Colony area, not too far from Khalsa College here in Amritsar. Because we are so close to the college, we get a lot of students coming in between their classes. It’s a busy little street, and there’s always something going on outside. The shop has been around for quite a while. It’s tucked away in a residential part of the neighborhood, so it feels more like a home than a business sometimes. We have the old-style chairs that are actually quite comfortable once you sit in them. We do mostly basic stuff like threading, haircuts, and some bridal makeup when the season is right. It gets a bit crowded in here during wedding season, and sometimes people have to wait on the bench outside. I try to keep the mirrors clean, but the dust from the street always finds its way in. It’s just the way it is. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. It’s a quiet life, mostly just cutting hair and listening to the radio. We know all the families on this street and have seen their kids grow up. It’s a small, practical place that serves the local folks well enough, and we hope to stay here for many more years.
