We have two spots, but the main one people know is Shop No-38 at Kabir Park, which is right across from G.N.D.U in Amritsar. The other one is over at Gopal Mandhir Chownk near Sehaj Enclave. Having two addresses means we are often moving between the two depending on where we are needed. The Kabir Park shop is always full of students because the university is right there. It’s a lively area with a lot of energy. Our shops are not very large, so things can get a bit tight when it’s raining and everyone wants to be inside. We have the basic chairs and the mirrors and the usual tools for hair and skin. Amritsar weather can be tough, either very hot or quite cold, so we try to keep the shop comfortable for whoever is sitting in the chair. We’ve been around long enough that people trust us with their hair. It’s a lot of manual work and your back starts to ache by the end of the day. We don’t use any complicated booking systems or anything. People just walk in, and if a chair is free, they sit down. If not, they wait a bit. We just try to keep things moving and make sure everyone gets what they came for before the day ends. We just stay busy and keep the shops running as they should.
