Kumar Sheet Cutting is located over in Amar Court, specifically in Gali No. 3 in Amritsar. We are right opposite the Daily Need shop, which most people in this area know well. Our work is mostly about metal and cutting sheets to the sizes people need for their projects. It is a dusty kind of job and the workshop is often loud because of the machinery we use. We have been in this gali for years, and the neighbors are used to the clinking sounds of metal. It is not a showroom or anything like that. It is a place where work gets done. You will see stacks of sheets piled up near the entrance and the smell of oil and metal is always in the air. We start early because the work takes time and we like to finish things before it gets too dark. The shop isn't very large, so things are a bit cramped, but we know where every tool is kept. Kumar is usually the one handling the orders and checking the measurements. People from all over the city come here when they need specific cuts that they can't get elsewhere. We don't have a website or anything. If someone needs us, they just walk into the alley and find the shop. We keep the doors open and just focus on the task at hand. It is a plain, honest way to make a living in Amritsar.
