Brother Hair Style

If you’re walking around Gurnanak Pura Islamabad in Amritsar, you’ll find us right near the petrol pump. It’s a small shop, but it stays busy most days of the week. We’ve been cutting hair here for quite some time now. We call it Brother Hair Style because that’s how we treat the people who come in to see us. It’s not like those fancy salons in the big city malls. We have our chairs, our mirrors, and a drawer full of combs and clippers that have seen a lot of use over the years. The radio is usually playing some music in the background to keep things from being too quiet while we work. In the mornings, it’s mostly older men coming in for a quick trim or a shave before they head off to their jobs. By the afternoon, we get the younger crowd wanting something a bit more modern and stylish. We don’t have a fancy waiting area, just a few stools where people sit and chat about the news or the latest cricket match while they wait their turn. The floors get covered in hair pretty fast, but we’re always sweeping up between customers. It’s a simple life, honestly. You meet a lot of different people every single day. We don’t do any big promotions or advertising. People just know we are here by the petrol pump and they drop in when they need to look a bit sharper. It’s a steady job and we enjoy the daily company of our regulars.
