Swaad Bhojanalaya

Swaad Bhojanalaya sits right on the Main Road in Daryapur, not too far from Hari Talkies. If you know where Athwadi Bazar is, you can find us pretty easily. Amravati can be a busy place, especially on market days when everyone is out doing their shopping. We opened this place because we wanted to have a spot where people could get a meal without any fuss. The kitchen is always moving, especially around lunchtime when the workers and shopkeepers from the bazaar come in. It gets noisy sometimes with the plates clanking and people talking over each other, but that is just how it is. We are not trying to be anything special or fancy. The benches and tables have seen a lot of use over the years. We spend a lot of time sourcing vegetables and making sure we have enough for the day. Sometimes we run out of things early if it is a particularly busy Tuesday. We just do the work ourselves, from cooking to serving and even cleaning up at the end of the night. It is a lot of hours on our feet, but we are used to it by now. The neighborhood knows us, and we know them. It is a simple life running a bhojanalaya here in Daryapur. We just focus on getting the food out and making sure the water jugs are full on every table for whoever comes in to eat.
