Shripad Continental Restaurant

Our place, Shripad Continental Restaurant, is located on Nagpur Road in the Camp area of Amravati. We are right across from the I T I College, so we see a lot of students coming in throughout the day. They usually have their bags and are talking about their exams or classes. The road outside is always busy with trucks and cars heading out of the city. It gets quite dusty, so we are constantly cleaning the front. We decided to call it continental because we wanted to try a few different types of dishes, even if they aren't exactly what you’d find in a big city hotel. The interior is pretty basic. We have some wooden chairs that have seen better days and the lighting is just normal tubes. It isn’t some high-end lounge. Most days, I am sitting near the counter handling the bills while the kitchen staff deals with the lunch rush. Sometimes we run out of a specific ingredient and have to tell the customers to pick something else. It happens. We don't have a marketing team or anyone telling us how to look professional. We just provide a place to sit and eat for the people living in or passing through Amravati. It’s a lot of hours on our feet, but seeing the same faces every day makes it feel like we belong to the neighborhood.
