Gourav Hair Dressers is over in Panchkula, specifically at Sco No. 45, Cabin No-231 in Sector-11. We are up on the second floor in one of those office cabins. Even though we are in Panchkula, we get a lot of people coming over from Chandigarh too. It’s a bit of a smaller space since it is a cabin, but we make it work for what we need. I’ve got my mirrors set up and my tools organized just the way I like them. It’s a bit quieter up here than being right on the street level, which I don't mind. People usually find us by word of mouth. I have been cutting hair for a long time and I’ve learned that a simple approach is usually the best. I don’t have a big staff, it’s mostly just me and sometimes a helper to keep things moving. Sector-11 is a busy part of town so there is always something going on outside the window. I keep the clippers oiled and the scissors sharp. It is just a basic setup for anyone who needs a haircut without all the extra fuss you see in the big malls. I like the routine of opening up, cleaning the combs, and waiting for the first knock on the door. It’s a steady job and I enjoy meeting the different people who walk in every day.
