Hair Mantra

Hair Mantra is located on the first floor of Sco 114, right in the Main Market of Sector 25. If you look for the PNB Bank, we are just above it. It's a bit of a climb up the stairs, but it’s a good spot once you're inside. From the window, I can see the whole market activity. We get people coming in from Panchkula and some even drive over from Chandigarh since we are right on the edge. It’s a bit different being on the first floor because you don't get the walk-ins like a ground floor shop does, but our regulars know the way. I spend a lot of time cleaning the combs and keeping the chairs straight. We have enough room for a few people to wait. Sometimes the bank gets really crowded downstairs, and you can hear the chatter. I started this place because I like the work. It’s nothing fancy, just a place to get your hair sorted. The lights in here are bright which helps when I'm working on a tricky cut. I usually keep a few old magazines on the table, though most people just look at their phones now. Sector 25 is a nice area, quite settled. We stay open until late evening, depending on if anyone is still waiting. It’s a steady life and I'm glad to be part of this market. The stairs are steep so I take them slowly in the morning.
