Tenacious Education

Tenacious Education is located at No. 38 Shiv Colony. It is a quiet residential street mostly, but it gets busy when the students start arriving. We have a small sign outside so people do not miss the gate. Inside, there are a few rooms set up with chairs and whiteboards. It is nothing too fancy. We just try to get the work done. Some days are louder than others, especially when a few different groups are here at the same time. The fans hum constantly to keep the air moving. We spend a lot of time looking at books and grading papers on the old table in the back. Parents often drop by to ask how their kids are doing. We tell them what we see. The shelves are mostly full of textbooks and old notebooks that have been left behind over the months. Sometimes we run out of chalk or markers and have to send someone out to the main road to get more. The lighting in the hallway is a bit dim, but the classrooms are bright enough. It feels like a home because it is in a house. We know the neighbors and they know us. Most of the time, we are just busy planning for the next day's lessons. It gets dark early in the winter, and the porch light stays on until the last student leaves. We have been at this Shiv Colony spot for quite a while now.
