Our place is located in RIICO Industrial Area Phase I at plot E/1247. It’s right in the thick of things where all the factories are. Mehru Electrical & Mechanical Engineers Pvt Ltd has been operating out of this spot for a while. It’s an industrial shed like many others around here, filled with machines and the smell of metal. We deal with electrical and mechanical stuff, mostly repairs and making sure things work for other companies nearby. The noise from the neighboring units is constant, but you get used to it after a week. We have a small crew that knows their way around a toolbox. No one here wears a tie. We mostly wear overalls that get dirty pretty fast. RIICO is a big area and Phase I is one of the older parts, so the roads are a bit rough. Finding E/1247 isn't too hard if you follow the main gate and keep going straight. We spend our days troubleshooting problems or putting together parts that people ordered. It’s not a quiet job. We have coffee together in the morning and then it’s just work until the sun goes down. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. People just find us because they need something fixed or built. It’s a practical life here in the industrial zone. We just focus on the job at hand and try to make sure everything leaving the floor is done right.
