Maa Sharda Senior Secondary School

Maa Sharda Senior Secondary School is out on Jaipur Road in Thanagazi, Alwar. It is a spot that many people pass by when they are traveling between the bigger cities. The school has a good view of the surrounding hills that Alwar is known for. Being a senior secondary school, we have a lot of older students who are preparing for their final exams and thinking about what comes next. The building is a sturdy structure right along the main road. It can get a bit noisy with the traffic passing by, but once you are inside the classrooms, it’s mostly just the sound of the teachers talking. We have a decent-sized yard where the kids can spend their time between classes. The staff room is usually a mess of books and papers, which is how you know people are actually working. We don't use any fancy language to describe ourselves; we are just a local school trying to provide a place for kids in Thanagazi to learn. The parents here are hard-working people, and we try to respect that by keeping things simple and honest. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open all the windows to let the air in, but we just get on with it. It’s a regular part of life here. We’ve been part of this landscape for a while now and plan to stay here on Jaipur Road for a long time to come.
