Boond Bar

Being part of Namah Resort out here in Ramnagar means we get a lot of people looking to relax. We are right in the Dhikuli area, so Jim Corbett National Park is just a stone's throw away. It's a quiet spot most of the time, except when the jungle tours are heading out or coming back. The bar is a place where you can just sit down. We have been running it inside the resort for a bit now. Sometimes it’s just the sound of the trees and the river nearby. People come in after a long day of looking for tigers and they just want a drink. It’s not a loud place with big city music. We keep the shelves stocked and the glasses ready. The air is different here than in Nainital. It’s thicker, more like the woods. We spend a lot of time just keeping everything in order. The staff knows the regulars who come every season. It isn't a complicated setup. We just have the counter and the chairs. You find us at the end of the road basically. It is what it is. A small bar in a big park area. Most folks just stumble in while staying at the resort. We don't change much because the natural surroundings do all the work. We just make sure the bottles are full and the ice is ready for whoever walks through the door next.
