It is a public school, so we get a real mix of kids from all different backgrounds. The classrooms are basic and functional. We don't spend money on expensive decorations because we think the lessons are more important. Aligarh is a big city but our school feels like its own little community. The staff often eats their lunch together in the small office. We know the local shopkeepers and the people who live on our street.
