Our place, Nikhar Hair And Beauty Salon, is in the Ashadeep Building over on Ramghat Road. We are part of the commercial complex there, quite close to the HDFC Bank. Being in a building like this means we get people who are out doing errands or working in the nearby offices. It’s a bit different from a street-side shop, but we still keep things very down to earth. The space is decent, and we have enough room for hair and some beauty work. Aligarh is a busy city, and Ramghat Road is one of the main parts of it. We see a lot of people coming in for a quick shave before a meeting or a haircut for a special occasion. The shop has a clean feel, though it’s not meant to be a luxury lounge. We use standard stuff and keep our tools ready. My staff and I just focus on getting the work done right. We don't have a big receptionist or anything; whoever is free just helps the next person who walks in. The air conditioner works most of the time, which is good when the Aligarh heat gets bad. We’ve been in this building for a while, and the other shopkeepers around here are like neighbors to us. We just want people to feel a bit better when they look in the mirror before they leave. It’s a regular shop for regular people.
