Mahesh Hair Salons

The shop is on Soot Mealgt Road, right across the street from where the TVS showroom sits in Aligarh. It is a busy part of the Main Market area. We keep things pretty simple here at Mahesh Hair Salons. There are a few chairs and big mirrors on the walls. Most days start early before the sun gets too high and the traffic on the road gets loud. You can hear the bikes and cars outside all day long. We have been doing this for a long time. People from the neighborhood stop by, some for a quick trim and others just to sit for a bit while they wait. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we are always sweeping it up with those old wooden brooms. It is not a big place, but it gets the job done. We have a couple of ceiling fans that hum all afternoon to keep the air moving when it gets hot. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the door wider to let the light in. We use the basic stuff, mostly scissors, combs, and the straight razors that we sharpen on the leather straps. It is a normal shop for normal people living around here. There is always some talk about the weather or the local news while the clippers are running. We just stay busy and keep the chairs filled one person at a time.
