Girish Kumar Hair Cutting Saloon

Girish Kumar here. I have been running this hair cutting saloon on Aligarh Road for a long time now. We are right at the Beswan Chauraha, so people usually see us when they are passing by the big intersection. It is just a simple place where men come to get their hair shortened or a clean shave before going to work. The shop isn't fancy at all. We have the usual chairs, big mirrors, and our tools like scissors and trimmers are always ready on the counter. Sometimes it gets very crowded in the evenings when everyone is heading home, and you might have to wait a bit on the wooden bench outside. I try to keep things moving so no one stays too long. We talk about the weather or whatever is happening in Beswan while I work on a cut. It is a local spot for sure. People from the nearby villages and the town itself stop in regularly. I have known many of my customers since they were young kids, and now they bring their own sons here for their first haircuts. It is just a regular part of the day for us. We keep the floor swept and the water bucket ready. If you are walking around Aligarh Road, you will find us easily right near the crossing. Nothing much has changed here over the years, just the same old haircuts and shaves every day from morning till the lights go off. It is honest work.
