Khoobsurat Beauty Salon

Khoobsurat Beauty Salon has been around on Ramghat Road for a good bit now. We are tucked in right near Lady Fatima School in Vidya Nagar, so the area stays pretty busy with parents and school buses passing by all day. It is just a regular local shop where people from Aligarh come to get their hair cut or get some threading done. Usually, the mornings start slow with just a few ladies coming in for a quick trim before the afternoon heat kicks in. We have the usual chairs and mirrors, nothing fancy, but it works for what we do. My staff and I spend a lot of time talking with the regulars about their families while we work on their hair or do a facial. When wedding season comes around, things get a bit hectic and the shop feels smaller than it is, but we manage to get through the appointments. You can hear the noise from the main road outside, but once you are inside, it is mostly just the sound of scissors and the ceiling fan hum. We do not try to be like those big fancy chains you see in malls. It is just a simple place for the neighborhood folks to look a bit better. Sometimes people stop in just to say hello or ask directions to the school. We just keep doing our work and hope the customers are satisfied enough to return next month. My sister sometimes helps out on Saturdays too.
