Dlp Higher Secondary School

If you head over to Mursan in the Hathras district, you’ll find us easily enough. We’re a higher secondary school that’s been serving this area for a good while now. The school is a simple structure, the kind you see in most smaller towns around here. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. There are classrooms with basic wooden furniture and windows that stay open most of the year to let the breeze in. It gets quite dusty because of the roads nearby, but that’s just how it is in this part of the country. The students come from all the surrounding villages, often arriving on bicycles or walking quite a distance to get here. It’s a noisy place during the break times with everyone running around the courtyard, but it’s mostly quiet once the lessons start. We have a small staff of teachers who live locally, so everyone knows each other’s families. There isn't any fancy marketing or big slogans on the walls, just the usual notices about upcoming exams or holiday dates. It’s an honest place where we just try to get the kids through their secondary education so they can figure out what they want to do next. It’s hard work sometimes, especially when the weather is extreme, but we just keep going day by day.
