St Gregorious Central School

This school is right in the Kuthirappanthi area of Thazhava. If you are coming from Karunagappally North, it is a familiar sight along the road. St Gregorious Central School has been part of this Kollam community for a long time now. The morning starts with the yellow buses pulling into the yard and the sound of kids running to their spots for assembly. We have the standard classrooms, a small playground, and a lot of trees around the edges that give some shade during the hot afternoons. The teachers are usually in early, getting their chalk and registers ready for the first period. It’s a normal school day here, with bells ringing every hour and lunch boxes being opened under the porch. We see kids growing up from the small ones in primary to the older students finishing their final years. Thazhava is a quiet enough place, and the school fits right into that rhythm. There is always a bit of dust in the summer and some mud in the monsoon, but we keep the place as clean as we can. Parents often drop by the office to talk about their children or pay the fees. We don't have any fancy statues or massive fountains, just the basic stuff needed for learning. It’s a practical place where the day is measured by the lessons taught and the games played outside. Most people around here know us quite well.
