Gayathri Central School

Way down in South Monkuzhy, you will find Gayathri Central School. It is near the Pullikkanakku Post in Kayamkulam. The address is 690502 for anyone trying to send us a letter. This part of Alappuzha is pretty quiet most of the time. The school building is spread out a bit, and we have a few different sections for the different ages. It isn't a modern glass structure or anything like that. It is just brick and mortar that has stood here for quite a while. We have some gravel in the front yard that crunches when you walk on it. The classrooms are basic but they stay cool enough with the ceiling fans. We spend a lot of time organizing the daily schedule. There is a small office near the front where we keep all the records. Kayamkulam is a nice place to live and work. The kids here are mostly from the surrounding farms and houses. We see the same faces every day, which is nice. Sometimes the cows from the nearby fields wander a bit too close to the fence. It’s just that kind of area. The teachers have their own way of doing things, and we don't interfere much. It's a relaxed atmosphere but the work gets done. We are just a local school on a local road, doing what we have always done for the families nearby.
