We are Shramputra Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited, and we work out of Shri Dadarao Keshavrao Janunkar’s place in Mahan. Barshi Takli is the taluka, and we are right there in the Akola district where it gets incredibly hot in the summer. Working at Shri Dadarao’s house gives us a central spot where the farmers can gather without feeling like they are in a corporate office. We spend our days discussing the soil, the seeds, and how to get through the next dry spell. It’s a very grounded way of doing business. We don’t have air conditioning or fancy chairs; we just have some benches and a lot of passion for what we do. The Mahan village is where our roots are, and most of us have been farming here our whole lives. We formed this producer company because we were tired of being taken advantage of by middlemen. It isn’t always easy, and we have plenty of arguments about the best way to do things. But at the end of the day, we are all neighbors. Shri Dadarao keeps us on track, and his house is always open for a meeting. We don't use big marketing words because we don't need them. Our work shows in the quality of the crops and the way we stand by each other. It’s just a group of hardworking people in Akola trying to make the farming life a little more sustainable for everyone involved.
