Mauli Nagthana Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are based in the village of Nagthana. Haribhau Maroti Solanke is one of the main people involved here, and we use his place to get our work organized. We are all farmers from this local area who decided it was time to work together instead of everyone doing their own thing and struggling alone. It’s a lot easier to buy seeds and sell our harvest when we are working as a group. Nagthana is a small place, and most of us have known each other for years. We aren't doing this for any big corporate reasons or to get rich quick. It’s just about survival and trying to make the farm work better for our families and the community. You can find us around the village most days, usually working the fields or talking by the roadside about the crops. We handle whatever crops are in season at the time. The weather is always a big topic of conversation here. If it doesn't rain, we all feel the pain of it. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a room with some chairs and a lot of talk about farming and soil health. We are just regular people who know the land. We try to help each other out with the logistics that come with farming these days. It is simple, hard work, but we prefer it this way. Being part of this group helps us.
