Golden Acre Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Dinoda, right at Madhukar A. Gawande’s place. Akot is our local area, and everyone around here knows each other. We didn't want to be some big corporation that nobody recognizes. Instead, we are just a bunch of farmers from Akola who thought we could do better if we worked together. Life on the farm is never easy, especially with the costs of everything going up every single season. We sit around and discuss how to get better prices for our produce. Sometimes the meetings go long because everyone has a different opinion on how to handle the harvest. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s just how it goes when you’ve got real people involved. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with big words. Our focus is just on the crops and the land we’ve been working on for years. If you visit us in Dinoda, you’ll see we’re just regular people. We share tools, we share advice, and we try to keep things simple. Sometimes the electricity goes out while we’re trying to finish up our records, so we just light a lamp and keep going. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s ours. We just want to make sure the next generation can still farm this land without losing everything. That’s why we started this whole thing together as a group.
