Fennel Farm Woods (Opc) Private Limited is run by Sharad Chorey in Akola. The office is at his home, Pitrusmruti, which is Plot No 100 on Gorakshan Road. It is near Vatsal Hospital, so it is pretty easy to find if you are in the neighborhood. Akola is known for being quite hot, so we usually try to get most of the heavy work done in the cooler morning hours. Since it is a one-person company, things are very informal. The office is basically a desk in a room filled with books and papers. There is no front desk or staff to greet you. You just walk up to the house and knock. We spend a lot of time thinking about wood and trees and how to manage them better. It is a quiet kind of work compared to the big markets. Sometimes Sharad works late into the night when the house is quiet and the traffic on Gorakshan Road has died down. The garden outside has a few trees that provide some shade. We don't have any big marketing plans or glossy brochures. People usually hear about us through word of mouth in Akola. It’s just a simple, honest effort to build something around farm woods. We take care of the paperwork ourselves and handle every little detail. It is not a big corporate setup, just a personal business being run out of a home on a busy road.
