We are located at House No. 594 in Balapur, right at Jagrut Chowk. The place is actually part of Mr. Tulshiram Sitaram Bawaskar’s home, which makes it feel very personal. When you walk into the yard, you’ll likely see some farming equipment or bags of seed waiting to be moved. We focus a lot on organic ways of doing things, or Jaivik as we call it. It’s a lot slower and more manual than the big industrial farms, but we prefer it that way. The group of farmers here in Balapur has been working together for a while now. We meet up at the house to discuss which natural fertilizers are working and how to deal with pests without using heavy chemicals. It isn’t always easy, and sometimes the yields aren't what we hoped for, but the quality is what keeps us going. The office is just a simple room with a couple of cupboards for files. We don’t have a website or any fancy advertisements. If you want to know what we are doing, you just have to come to Jagrut Chowk and talk to us. Usually, there’s some tea being made and someone complaining about the price of fuel or the lack of rain. We are just a bunch of neighbors trying to farm the right way.
