Shivam Resort

If you are looking for our place, we are over at Stephens Teeraha on Makarwali Road. It is tucked in right behind Varndavan School, which actually makes it pretty easy to find if you know the area. We’ve been operating this resort in Ajmer for quite some time. It is not one of those massive, cold hotels you see in big cities. Instead, it feels more like a local spot where people come to get away for a bit. We have a lot of space out back, and we spend a good amount of time making sure the plants are watered and the paths are swept. My family helps out with a lot of the daily chores, from checking in guests to making sure the kitchen has what it needs for breakfast. It gets pretty busy during the wedding season, and sometimes the whole place feels like a whirlwind of activity. Other times, it’s quiet enough to hear the birds. We have our fair share of plumbing issues or power cuts like everyone else in this part of town, but we fix things as fast as we can. The rooms are simple and clean, nothing over the top. We just want folks to have a comfortable place to stay without any unnecessary fuss. Most of our staff have been with us for years, so we’re a tight group. We usually sit out near the entrance in the evenings when the air cools down.
