Rewa Chand Hotel

Over here in Shastri Nagar, we run Rewa Chand Hotel. Don't let the name fool you, we aren't a big hotel with rooms and a lobby. People mostly come here because we are a local eatery. Shastri Nagar is where we’ve spent most of our lives, so it made sense to open our shop here. Our place is pretty basic with just the essentials. There are a few tables and chairs that we wipe down a dozen times a day. We don't have a big menu with hundreds of items. Instead, we do a few things and try to do them consistently. The shop is usually quiet in the mid-afternoon. That is when we take a break and sit by the door. No one here has corporate training or a polished way of speaking. We just talk to our customers like they are our neighbors. Every morning, we get our supplies from the market nearby. Everything is made fresh in our little kitchen because we don't like using frozen stuff. Sometimes the service is a bit slow. We don't have many people working, but our regulars don't seem to mind. They know we are doing our best. There is no mission to change the world here; we just want to keep the shop running and serve some food to the people in Shastri Nagar. It is a regular job and we have been doing it for years now. That is just how it is. We keep the fires going and the doors open.
