Laxman Singh Nand

Pushkar is a place most people visit for the temples, but for us, Nand village is just where we live and work. Laxman Singh Nand is the name we use. Life in the village is a bit slower than in the main town. You don’t have the same crowds of tourists, which I personally like. We are just a local operation here. The building is simple, made of local stone and brick. We don’t have fancy office equipment. Mostly, we just sit and talk or handle things as they come. The air is cleaner out here in Nand. You can see the hills in the distance when the sky is clear. We spend a lot of time outdoors too. It’s not the kind of job where you’re stuck behind a computer all day long. Sometimes we have to walk over to the neighbors to discuss things. It’s a very community-based way of living. We’ve been here for generations, really. My father had this spot before me. We don’t have a website or anything like that. If you need us, you just come to the village and ask for Laxman Singh. Everyone knows where the house and the workspace are. It’s a quiet life, but it keeps us busy enough. We grow some of our own food nearby too. It’s just how things are done here in the village.
