Kohinoor Rubber Industries

Kohinoor Rubber Industries is situated in Vijay Nagar within the Prgya Colony. It’s a small industrial setup where we spend our days working with various rubber materials. If you walk into our place, the first thing you’ll notice is the very specific smell of raw rubber and heat. It’s a scent that sticks to your clothes, but we don’t mind it much anymore. The colony is a mix of small businesses and some houses, so we try to keep the noise down during the odd hours. We have a few machines that do the heavy lifting, and the rest of the work is done by hand at the benches. It’s a tight space, but we’ve managed to organize it so that everything has its place, more or less. We don't have a fancy showroom or a place for guests to sit; mostly people just come to the front door to pick up their orders or talk about a job. The floors are concrete and usually have a bit of dust on them, but that’s just the nature of working with rubber. We focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the material is cured properly. It’s not the kind of job that gets a lot of attention, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the orders. Sometimes we have to move stacks of tires or sheets around just to find a specific tool.
