Hotel Vinod

I've spent a lot of my life on Beawar Station Road. Running Hotel Vinod takes up most of my time from morning until late at night. The station is right there, so there is always noise from the trains and people carrying bags. It is a simple building, nothing like those big hotels in the city. We have some rooms and a bit of space for people to rest. It gets hot in the summer, so we do what we can with the fans. Sometimes the tea is ready, sometimes it's not. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. I just write things down in a big ledger book at the desk. My nephew helps me with the heavy lifting when guests have big trunks. The street outside is always crowded with rickshaws and vendors. You get used to the smell of the engines and the shouting. We just try to keep the place tidy enough for whoever needs a bed for the night. It is a basic setup, really. No frills. Just a local spot on the road that stays open. We have been here for years and the front door doesn't always lock smoothly, but we make do. The walls are painted a light color but they show the dirt from the station traffic. I don't mind it much, as long as people have a place to stay.
