Hotel Sobhraj

Our hotel is right there on Delhi Gate Dargha Road. It’s a very busy spot because of everyone heading to the Dargha. We see people from all over the country coming through our doors every day. Some stay for a night, others stay longer. The road outside is never quiet, there’s always the sound of rickshaws and people talking. We have different types of rooms depending on what someone needs. It’s an old building, so it has its quirks, but we try to keep it tidy and welcoming for travelers. The staff here has been with us for a long time. We know the area well and usually tell guests where to find a good meal nearby. In the mornings, you can hear the prayers and the city waking up. It gets quite crowded during festivals, which keeps us on our toes. We don’t have those fancy lobbies like the big chains, just a simple desk and a place to sit. Most people just want a safe spot to sleep after a long journey. We make sure the water is running and the fans are working. It’s a family-run place, so there’s usually one of us around if someone needs help. Living and working on Dargha Road means you’re never lonely. There is always someone new to meet and a story to hear. We hope to stay here for many more years serving the visitors.
