Hotel Manak Moti

Hotel Manak Moti is situated on the Pushkar Nagour Road, which is a bit of a stretch of road that connects the town to the way out towards Nagaur. It’s a bit different than being right in the middle of the market because things are a little more spread out here. We have the building set back a bit from the main road, and we get a lot of people who are traveling by car or bus who need a place to stop. The days are usually spent doing the same things over and over, like checking the guest register and making sure the water heaters are working. In the evenings, it can get quite quiet out here, which is a nice change from the noise of the main town area. We have a small staff, mostly just local people who live nearby and walk to work. We don't try to make the place look like something it isn't; it’s just a hotel with rooms for people who are on a journey. Sometimes we have to deal with the dust coming off the road when it is windy, so there is a lot of sweeping to do. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that, we just stay open and wait for the travelers to show up. It’s a quiet way to make a living, and we just take each day as it comes, making sure the rooms are ready for whoever might arrive.
