Ananta Spa & Resorts

If you head out on the Ajmer Pushkar Road, you’ll find us at Village Leela Sevri. We’re about 4 kilometers before you actually hit Pushkar town. It’s a bit of a quiet spot away from the main bustle. We run the Ananta Spa & Resorts here. Most of the people working here are locals from the nearby villages. We spend our days cleaning rooms, tending to the gardens, or working in the kitchen. It’s a lot of walking because the property is spread out. The Rajasthan sun can be tough, so we’re always watering the plants to keep things looking decent. We don’t talk like those big hotel chains you see in the city. We just try to be helpful when someone asks for extra towels or wants to know where the best tea is in town. Sometimes the monkeys come around and cause a bit of trouble, which keeps things interesting. We have a lot of stone paths and trees, so there’s always something to sweep or prune. It’s a job that keeps us on our feet from morning until the sun goes down. We see a lot of travelers coming through, some tired and some excited. We just do our bit to make sure their stay is okay. It’s a peaceful place to work, even when it gets busy during the festival season.
