Guru Krupa Engineering Works

Guru Krupa Engineering Works is based out in Bhigwan Khed, which is part of Taluka Karjat. It’s a bit out of the way if you’re used to the city, but we like the pace here. The workshop is a place of heavy tools and a lot of grease. We spend our days fixing things and making parts for people in the surrounding area. There is always the sound of a lathe running or a hammer hitting something. It’s not a clean job, and most of us have dirt under our fingernails all the time. Being in Karjat, we get a lot of people from the nearby farms coming in with broken equipment. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people just know we are here in Bhigwan Khed. The building itself is just a simple shed with a tin roof. When it rains, it gets so loud inside that you can’t hear yourself talk. We have a few old machines that we’ve been using for years, and they still work just fine for what we need. It’s a lot of hard work on the back, but there is something good about finishing a job with your own hands. We keep the doors open from sunrise and just take whatever work comes our way. It’s a steady life and we don't ask for much more than that. We are just local people doing engineering work the way we were taught.
