Varad Engineering

You can find Varad Engineering at Plot No-G-38/39 in the M.I.D.C. section. We’re right near Hognos India, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find our gate. The area is very industrial, with a lot of noise and movement all day long. Our workshop isn't anything special to look at, but it has everything we need to get through the day’s tasks. We mostly handle fabrication and general engineering work. It’s a lot of welding, cutting, and grinding metal. By the end of the day, everything is covered in a fine layer of dust, and our clothes usually have a few spark marks on them. We have a small office tucked away in the corner where we keep the invoices and the phone, but we spend most of our time out on the floor. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. We like the fact that we’re a small outfit. It means we can just talk to each other directly without a bunch of emails. Sometimes the weather makes the tin roof quite loud when it rains, and we have to shout a bit to be heard. We’ve got a routine that works for us, and we don't feel the need to change it much. It’s just about getting the orders out on time and making sure the measurements are right. We drink a lot of chai during the afternoon and talk about whatever needs to be done tomorrow. It's a simple way to work.
