Shree Datta Eng Works

We started Shree Datta Eng Works out here in District Ahmednagar because there was a need for someone who actually knows how to handle metal and machines without making a big fuss about it. It’s been quite a few years since we opened the doors. The shop floor is usually a bit messy with scraps and tools, but that is just how we work. People around here know where to find us when something breaks or when they need a specific part made up. We don’t have a fancy office or any of that. Most days are just spent over the lathe or welding something back together. My hands are usually covered in grease by ten in the morning, which is fine by me. It is quiet in this part of Ahmednagar most of the time, except for the sound of our machines running. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait it out with a cup of tea. It’s not a big corporate setup, just a few of us trying to do a decent job for the folks who walk in. We’ve seen the town change a bit over the years, but the work we do stays pretty much the same. You just show up, look at what needs doing, and get to it. No one here wears a suit. We just wear what we don’t mind getting dirty. That’s how it goes every day at the workshop. We keep the doors open six days a week and usually stay late if there is a big job to finish.
