Sarvajanik High School

Out on Solapur Road, things are a bit spread out. Sarvajanik High School sits between Darewadi and Narayandoh. It’s a bit of a trek for some of the students who live further into Ahmednagar, but they make it. The school has been here for a while and the building shows it, but it’s sturdy. We have a lot of space out here compared to the schools in the middle of the city. There is plenty of room for the high schoolers to hang out during their lunch hour. The wind blows quite a bit across the open ground near the road. You can see the traffic passing by on the way to Solapur, but inside the gates, it’s mostly just the sound of lessons. We aren’t a big corporate institution. We are just a regular high school for the local community. The classrooms have big windows to let the breeze in. Some days it’s quiet, and other days, when there’s a match on the field, it gets very loud. People around Darewadi know us well. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment, just the usual stuff you’d find in any local school. It’s a practical place for practical people. Most of the staff live nearby too. We just keep things running and make sure the students have a place to sit and learn their subjects. It is just an ordinary building with a lot of history for the people living nearby.
