We spend most of our time here at the Smruti Complex office in Ghodasar. It’s right on the P.D. Pandya College Road, so there is always a lot of noise from the students walking by and the traffic heading towards Smruti Mandir. The office isn't anything fancy, just a regular space where we handle the day-to-day work for Vodafone Essar. Most mornings start with someone making tea and checking the stack of papers that piled up from the day before. It gets pretty hot in Ahmedabad during the summer months, so the air conditioning is usually running full blast as soon as the first person arrives at 9/A. We’ve been in this part of Ahmedabad for a while now and we know the tea stall guy down the street pretty well. It’s a busy spot, especially in the evenings when everyone is trying to get home. Dealing with mobile stuff and connections takes up most of our hours, and sometimes the internet acts up which is funny considering what we do. We just keep things moving as much as we can. There are a few of us here who have seen the area change quite a bit over the years. We don't have a big corporate cafeteria or anything like that, just a small corner for lunch. It’s practical and it works for us. Most of the time we are just focused on getting through the tasks without too much fuss or drama.
